About the Program

The Accelerated Master’s with Concentration in Applied Data Science is a 4+1 program available to WashU undergraduate students starting in Fall 2026. Designed for students across a wide range of majors, this 4+1 pathway allows students to save time and tuition. Students can complete the master’s degree in just one additional year by counting up to 12 units of eligible undergraduate coursework toward their graduate degree. By completing an accelerated master’s degree, students can launch their careers sooner in high-demand roles such as data scientist, machine learning engineer, statistician, biostatistician, bioinformatics scientist, quantitative researcher, and business intelligence specialist.

Students can enroll as soon as November for Spring 2027 classes, allowing them to begin completing the graduate-level requirements for the accelerated program.
